Lets be clear which insider version(s) the posts refer to!

A lot of posts here refer to problems with insider builds - fine - but please mention the build number in the title, or first line of the post if referring to another build where the same issue occurs. Otherwise it's just another bunch of cross postings.

Well, I guess that most are on last one and will complain if they didn't get it.

Nice idea but the chances are slim that anyone will follow what you suggest.

Put the build number in your system specs.

I did, everyone should fill it out, it would facilitate members helping them if they have an idea of what they are dealing with. But without a mention to do it when registering , about as many as you said would include the build number.:)

Good idea, Fafhrd, but the problem is that very few folks will see this post. That's the first problem.

If someone has a problem with a particular build or even getting Build 10525 or 10532, or the next one down the line, they're not going to read your post first, even if it's made into a sticky! Sadly, it's the nature of the beast.

No, thanky, Gary. I'd keep forgetting to update the build number in my specs. Not only that, your system should be static and shouldn't have to be changed intermittently.

Sadly too many members just continue a thread without starting a new one and it can make it hard to tell what their issue really is. I would really like to see that each new question have it's own thread but I know that's never going to happen.
