Try the second option: Downgrade the text size to 100%
since I tried in the past 100% and it was small, if there is a GREAT advantage I can remain with that

    how about 112% or similar?

This is the history of your BIOS update and there ain't nothing regarding blurry font yet. Keep an eye on it to see if they come out with a new version related to the problems that you have.
    BIOS version 1.90 for Satellite P50/P55/P55t (PSPMJx/MKx/PSPKKAx/KEx)
excellent! for me it was so complicated to access to Toshiba website that I guess you were able to access to an important page. However I don't get what you are trying to tell me. Should I download what it is there?
BTW, was my PC eligible for W10 or not?

Now if you wana get rid of blurry issues, you'll have to do the third one and set your machine the way it was under 8.1:

1)Modify the value of DpiScalingVer to 1018

    in Search Windows/Regedit/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/DpiScalingVer/Right Click/Modify/Set the value to 1018/OK

    2) Modify the value of Win8DpiScaling to 1
    in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/Win8DpiScalin/right click/set it to 1/OK

3)Create or edit a new file label LogPixels under Desktop with a value of 78. If LogPixels is already there in DWORD @78, skip step 3. Close Regedit and others/Reboot

    /Regedit/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/Right click/New Dword (32-bit)Value/rename it (New Value# 1 to)/LogPixels/OK/Right Click/Modify/Set the value to 78/OK/Close Regedit and others/Reboot.

I understand that page offers to do that Register tweaking at the end of that explanation?

so double clicking the second .reg shown above should do THE SAME as you wrote, isn't it?

Sorry I may not have been clear enough.
The Reg modification that you recently showed me, is the same offered at the end of that page?

Yes! Let's make it clear now. It's you and only you that should modify the registry because that way, if things are getting worst, you can delete LogPixels and set DpiScalingVer and Win8DpiScaling back to there original values: 1000 for the first and 0 for the second. What is the value of DpiScalingVer in your macnine? Mine is set to 1000.

sorry I still don't get it thoroughtly
do you mean that it is BETTER that I don't use the file offered to tweak my Reg and that I do it myself manually?

or is it because at each machine DpiScaling differs so if I want to undo the Reg I will be in trouble, so it is better to find out which is my PARTICULAR DpiScaling?

I understand modifying the Reg is serious

This is a hot place to be Oliver and you must be prudent and precise. Manually! Yes because you can go backward. That way you know the original value to change or set to 1.
    Take care,
