Just Joined the Insider Program - Question

I just joined the insider program and installed the new version on my activated system which was running with no issues but I enjoy testing so decided to give it a try. I now have the watermark showing in the corner with the beta build 10525.

My question is this. Now that I am getting these test builds is there a way to stop and stick with the next stable public release of Windows 10...OR will I have to do a clean install to get out of the insider program?

    Just wondering for future reference.

    Thanks!

If you want to stop insider builds, just go to Settings>Update& Security>Windows Update> Advanced options. Click on Stop insider Builds, you will be asked to confirm and then you can roll back or clean install. I think that the roll back option is good for about 30 days before the windows.old folder is deleted.

Thanks very much for the info. Did both and now I am back the plain old Windows 10 I have grown to love.

I will just wait for regular updates. Thanks!

IF you have space available (40 GB is plenty) you can dual boot Win10 Current Build (RTM, retail, or any other name) and Win10 Preview.

This tutorial should work as a basis, if you have to decide on a step, lean towards the 8.1 informaiton.

Windows 10 - Dual Boot with Windows 7 or Windows 8 - Windows 10 Forums

In a nutshell, you'll find space to install the Insider build
partition it to at least 30 GB (40 GB is more than enough - you don't need to load all of your programs on a test bed)
Install the Preview build on the unallocated space

Read through the tutorial and ask any questions before proceeding.
