    Can't update

    Shows "Updates Available"
    Windows 10 Insider Preview 20246.1 (fe_release)
    Status: Pending download

    Download
    -------------------------
When build 20241 first appeared, I got this message with 20241 in the Preview
When I clicked on the "Download" button, nothing happened. It just sort of winked.
Tried all suggestions, and nothing worked.
In the flight info, it said there were no real changes so I just figured I'd wait till the next build.
Now. 20246 has arrived and I'm getting the same thing.
There was a problem way back with another build update and many of us just waited for the next build and the problem disappeared.
    Not so in this case.
    Any suggestions?
    Pete

You can try with Reset Windows Update

Tutorials | Reset Windows Update in Windows 10

Other option is to go to download ISO via UUPDump and do a repair install

Have been using Reset Reregisters since Brink in vented it.
Didn't work in this case. Not bragging, but I'm an IT guy who's use to cleaning crap out of customers PCs and this one has me stumped.
I'll try to figure out how to get a 20246 iso from that uu site.

Figured out UUP and got the iso. Did an install/repair and now am on 20246.
Be interesting to find out how the next build goes.
    Thanks for your help.

Glad you're up on the new build. They can be a mystery, even before you get them installed.

Been on them since the first with Project Fi. You're right. When you read the change on the flight page, you scratch your head.
