I'm still showing Media Center and no Windows DVD Player.
You mean Media Player, not Media Center right? Media Center gets uninstalled, if its installed. It's an optional upgrade on to 8.1 Pro and included in Windows 7.

Yup. That's what the triangle icon with the ! in it is for. Down by where it says My System Specs, lower left. Hover over it and it will say report post.

Windows DVD Player now shows in the Store for $14.99 (good luck with that).

Anyone figure out how to get it free on a clean install (originally upgraded from 8.1 w/ MC)?

Well, phooey! It's Media Player; you're right.

And yeah, I know what Media Center was; I was a beta tester on it and had the TV card. Been a long time ago, though.

I was expecting it to show up in "My Library" under my Store account. Every other non Pre installed App does? It must be tied to that device? I haven't done a clean install on a PC I've upgraded yet to see if you lose it.
