Asking this as sincere and polite as I can: Do you mean that opposing opinions should not be told? Do you mean that if you criticize about a lacking feature like not being able to use Start with keyboard, it should not be replied by another member telling that it is possible? That an opinion or critic should never be counter argued?
    Thanks. I'll attempt likewise.

Not saying that at all. I never said it was impossible, just not as fast. I corrected myself so far as All apps section and I learned and see it is quick. It's the tile section I have a problem with, but not that it's impossible, just not as quick.

To add; I can see more of the Start screen with horizontal view. My screen is wider than it is tall. That's the format we changed to with widescreens. Perhaps I could turn my screen sideways and adjust the orientation for the new Start menu.

We used to have monitors at work (and maybe still do) that did rotate 90 degrees. Sometimes quite useful for checking Word documents in portrait mode. And Windows tablets will rotate of course.

And to think of how happy I was when I got my first Atari 520st that had a mouse that really did something and GUI to use it on. By that time I had just about enough of writing short stories just to format a diskette or run a program and could do a lot with mouse. Since than I use keyboard as little as possible. Most of the time I use mouse for getting around and keyboard only when I have to actually write something.
When searching for something on internet I use browser and for files "Everything" or Total Commander when it's already opened. I find it easier like that than to have to remember million keyboard shortcuts, by the time I remember what to press and hold on keyboard I could do that using the mouse 3 times over.
I divide start menu between All Apps and tiles, most used programs are set as tiles in various sizes and rest classic W10 menu. Never have to spend more than couple of seconds in start menu. Only thing I really miss is for Start menu to open on hover when over to button and over All Apps.

I could have sworn that MS said that the start menu was coming back when the announced 10?? And some here still can't adapt to it or still don't want it..?? Sorry, guys but I do respect all of you .. but MS is not bringing back the start screen.. well not in 10. That feature is gone and you can either do the following:
    1 Stick with 8/8.1
2 Don't like the current start menu.. get a third party one that you do like.
3 Adjust and learn how to use 10's start menu.

From what I can tell 10 is just as fast as 8.1 and the difference is the keystrokes that are required to do the same things with 10 that you could do with 8.1

So.. practice typing.. get faster.. IMO.

    And anyone want popcorn??

I can already type faster than Cortana can process it.

I use it. I don't like it, but I use it. I can navigate it just fine. I just like the Windows 8.1 setup better. I said that then all of a sudden it became a why are you using 10 then? etc. What I said got exaggerated out of proportion.
