    Another question for you:

Who are the customers going to buy a retailed Windows 10? Not OEM customers, nor upgraders. Only very small percent system builders. Anytime if Windows 7/8.1 (upgradable) full retail price is lower through retailers than Windows 10 directly. Who's willing to pay for a retailed Windows 10?

I probably will eventually as I'm considering a full system rebuild. Replacing my current WD Velociraptors in RAID 0 with an SSD, new mobo, new CPU and new Graphics Card. So I guess I'll have to.
Have to see how I go :)

I never use WiFi on my desktop computer, either. I use an Ethernet connection. Have you read about this issue few posts above?

I had to backtrack in that thread a bit, but yes, if I follow that path all windows just close. It's actually messed things up for me now. Clicking the Windows Logo icon does nothing. I have no way to reboot or shut down now? I'm connected via remote desktop so my only options are sign out or disconnect. I have no tiles and can't access the start menu. I guess I'll have to go press the power button on my tower now? Before doing that though, if I click the icon or right click the icon in the notifications area all appears normal. I have control panel set to "large icons" instead of categories.

OneDrive fired up fine on this machine.

You'll probably get better help if you open a new thread in Software and Apps - Windows 10 Fo

I almost missed your post scanning this thread.
    Thanks for the advice.

I've tried it just now and it doesn't work on my system, either. I right-click on the Network icon (task bar), Open Network and Sharing Center. It opens and then "Change Adapter Settings". It opens "Network Connections" and when I right-click on the "Ethernet" and select Properties, all windows close.
    Same here!

Buy a full licensed 7 online first than upgrade to 10 with minimum cost.

I remember now, last time it happened it was due to Avast, removing it restored function but now I don't have Avast, defender only.

I already have a full retail Windows 7 but after I upgrade it to Windows 10 I'm not convinced it will work after the system overhaul.
Think you are probably right though thinking about it.

So upgrade your hardware on 7 before you upgrade to 10!

That's my problem. Can't afford to upgrade the system yet. But want Windows 10 now.
