    Totally agree. And flash should be a thing of the past. It's just a security nightmare.
    As soon as every site goes to HTML 5 it will be, Java can go with it.

    Other machine has 7 on it. I'll just make a quick change to 8.1 to see if it showed up there too.
    Could it because you are in "Serbia"?

    Java isn't the issue.. it's how people use Java that is the issue.

    To lay all rumors to rest, I am the one that dropped out of the insider program and am now running the final RTM version of Windows 10. (Or so I believe anyway.) It was a little hassle, a couple of restarts and some very important license agreements, and here I am.
    @Rocky

    Could you try something, I am curious about something

    Could you type this in administrative command prompt and see if the dialog that popsup displays an expiration date? This will answer if it is an RTM version or something else.

    Code:
    slmgr /dlv

    It's official here
    no offense, but just because andre du costa wrote it, doesn't do it for me. where is gabe's tweet? where is m$'s press release. where is the fanfare? again, i'm not saying it isn't, but won't believe it actually is until i see something from the team. nothing yet...

    Good! The sooner the better!

    My wife's private work site has Java script in it. We use it to look up her hours for she has no set weekly schedule. Sign in. Push a tab. Sign in again. Fortunately that's automatic, but takes about 5 seconds to do so. Go through 3 folders find the link to her hours. Then there's no copy and paste. I cringe before going there.

    Java is not Java Script.. they have nothing in common except the name. JavaScript was called Livescript but to get more attention it was renamed JavaScript.

    That is why so many browsers have it blocked. People will find evil things to do with HTML 5 or anything.

    It's poorly written code that's the issue and not the language overall. There are lots of great programs/apps written in Java that have no issues. And Java is the most popular programming language today.

    So it is good when used properly.
