I've had my default Apps reset to default somewhere along the line. I'm not sure which build did or how many did it though. I never noticed until somebody mentioned it. I don't use the PC I have 10 on very much, other than a look see after a new build is installed.

MS has been more than generous to me. I have amassed a fair bit just through their offerings when they launched and having the 25gb originally when it was formerly Skydrive. Redeemed a couple hundred Bing points to extend the years too. Love me some Bing rewards and free Onedrive. Haven't paid a penny. Couldn't be happier.

Make sure you sync your camera roll with your smartphone for an additional 15 gb I think if they're still offering that.

This is the reason I have my own storage drives and plus I prefer not to use a cloud service.

So I wound up installing from a clean install yesterday off an ISO I made from my ESD, and when I took a peek at my advanced update settings, I discovered it dropped me out of the insider preview. Just a heads up for my fellow insiders, if you did a clean install, check it out, and re-up for the insider preview if you're not in there already.

I am with you all the way - my files stay on my machine, under my control.

CLOUD refers to a fluffy thing that's here one moment and there the next. Not the rock solid reference I'd choose for a place to store important data. Now THE ROCK, as Alcatraz was referred to, would be a great name.

Cloud ? Rock? - Cloud ? Rock? - Cloud ? Rock? - I gotta go with the Rock thing, but I still wouldn't use it...:)

What reason is that? You don't like free stuff?

if they could guarantee me that it will always be there for me, then i might consider using it for non essential things. but i wouldn't put really important stuff on there, ever. i don't trust that it is for my eyes only, and don't trust that they won't take what they want from it. who can determine if they are or aren't easily looking at anything you put there?

also, they give me free 100gb today, and six months from now it expires, then what about all of the information i had on there?? it would have to be a guarantee like google photos, that it will always be there. and even though i don't trust that guarantee from google, at least it is written. but no matter what, i wouldn't put any sensitive information on any cloud software. the lack of control just is too risky for my tastes.
