Clean install of windows 10 32 bit now activated without a Microsoft account attached to it. I will probably go ahead an attach the Microsoft account. My triple boot will be working shortly. By the way it still shows an option for insider builds in the update section. It took 3 skips of not entering a key because I didn't have the internet connected. I wanted to see if Microsoft works 7 would install, it did :) before activating the 32 bit version. Once connected to the internet, it activated automatically without any issues.
"CANNOT UPDATE"
I have a computer running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. It is the first computer I built - about 12-15 years ago. It also runs Windows XP and Windows Vista. I did not get an OK from Windows to download Windows 10, so suspected that it was related to a hardware problem. I downloaded the Install disc this AM and tried to install it but when the install program started its check of the system, it reported the Intel processor would not run NX so computer would not support Windows 10. But, very nicely, the program did a cleanup of what it had copied to my hard drive before closing. Well, at least I know why I never received a WUX in my task bar.
For clarification: the insider program will continue and those in the program with a clean install on a separate partition will get the latest build (eg. launch version) as long as we participate? I have the 10130 build and saw the next build update a few days back but nothing happened. This means I am in wait mode or must I go download it (the latest MS email was unclear on all this).
thanks,
