Did the media creation tool and installed on USB. The update my Win 8 laptop using the USB. All seems to be good thus far. The whole thing took about 90 minutes from tool creation to updating the laptop.
The personalization page is tricky - they have the giant "Let's get started fast" which "automatically" set things up, including sending personal data to Microsoft and partners, then in the lower left of the screen in small almost miss me letters, there's the customize link for your settings. Oh those tricky Microsoft guys
Anyway everything seems to have gone well so far. The OS looks nice though I really won't know what's broke, lost or otherwise until I play with the machine for a couple of days. I'm sure by then they'll be threads and threads of mass confusion, frustration, or just the typical "it sucks I removed it" posts. Hopefully I'm not one of them
Oops... Norton is complaining about Edge not supporting extensions yet and how I'm not protected and thus should default back to IE, but I'll just ignore that one. BTW I'm running Norton Security and there doesn't appear to be any other issues thus far.
