That's where files pile up until upgrade. install.esd should be there too when downloading is finished.

One of my home PCs, a Win 8.1 Pro machine has begun downloading the upgrade. Just 140 MB so far, but the upgrade is on it's way. Will use the ESD to upgrade my 2nd home PC and a Dell laptop
