He still thinks you shouldn't upgrade. I am not sure he is correct unless you don't like windows 10. I am little mad about a couple of features that won't work but I am still going to get the final version that comes out on the 29th. It seems it takes longer for the home preview to get an update to a new build, I will possibly be testing it on the 30th. The only reason I wouldn't use 10 now is if my system became incompatible with newer builds or the release. I do expect is Microsoft to release the definition of Life cycle of device is and what happens if the device is no longer supported but still works.

Still getting your tech information from him?? I think by now with the testing you've done you can make your own mind up.

Gah, as usual, he cherry picks what he WANTS to believe out of specific inside documents, and ignores real information (like the actual Windows 10 license recently published).

All 3 of his questions are answered by the license. Yet he keeps pretending they're not.

    1) While Microsoft has gone away from the "lifetime of the device" terminology in the license, they do define what the "device" is in the EULA.

    2) The EULA gives a url for where to find lifecycle support, this hasn't been updated yet, but it will be before the 29th. He keeps saying this is "astonishing" when he hasn't mentioned that no other version of windows has revealed the lifecycle before it shipped, so this is nothing new or astonishing.

    3) The EULA specifically says that users can use previous versions as part of the downgrade rights, and can do so until they are no longer supported... this completely voids his conspiracy theory that they will force you to upgrade to 10 from 7/8.x.

It's just more of his trying to use his pulpit to bully Microsoft into doing things he wants...

I disagree also. I'm very happy with Windows 10. I've already upgraded my Windows 8 OS and using Win 10 as my main OS. I did do a image first. Just waiting for the 29th to make it final.

For one it isn't Steve Forbes who is writting the articles but a contributing author with apparently no credibility. The stuff I see actually written by Forbes himself on other things I have seen so far has been quite reliable while...

the actual writer for these articles leaves much to be desired! They have the wrong person doing the write ups on 10 there!

I love how he claims he's in "constant contact with Microsoft", but at one point he mentioned that he was talking to someone in MS UK's publicity department. Like those people have any clue or connection to the development team....
