Hi there. Speed and less chance of corruption. Disk preservation. No scratches. No moving parts.

Thanks guys. I think I will give a shot at making my first bootable USB with the 10166.iso I have.

Hi there, Count. Faster, yes, but this old crate suites my needs for what I do. Now that I'm retired I'm in no rush. :)

LOL! Let's see...We go to the track occasionally...My wife is 18 years my younger...Jameson is my choice...and still use USB, but it's not as fast as the other three.

I can stick the flash drive in my pocket or purse and take it with me. I took my flash drive to the computer guy down the street and got him signed up as a Windows Insider. I could have taken a DVD, but the flash drive is just easier.

DVDs are cheaper and just as easy to use for legacy, but I haven't tried one for UEFI BIOS.

Mr. Queely, you probably already have it, but here are the instructions for creating both UEFI and Legacy BIOS flash drives. Rufus is the easiest way to go.
