Thanks Z3r010, I was able to easily update using the 10162 iso over my previous as usual, and it worked fine.
I just delete the Windows.old folder afterwards to save space when I upgrade like that

It's probably because of my latest drive--an EVO 850 I'm using for boot--but upgrades are now taking just 15-18 minutes from the first initial reboot that begins the process.
I've got some 850 EVO's too, and timed it today after seeing your post, it took me 14 minutes from start to finish, upgrading via iso on top of the previous version.

Anyway I like the Samsung SSD's, and is sooooo much faster than spinners doing the same task.

The official download site does not need any MS or Insider accounts for download. In addition, these third party sites usually only offer one language whereas the official Microsoft download site offers all available language versions.

I find it quite strange that you post a link to a third party site in the very same thread which in its first post already tells when you can download the ISO from its original source.

If The Windows Insider People would offer a new Build to download people would not have to resort to 3rd part sites. Look how long that they had 10074 as the only download, then 10130 long after the next build came out. In my option when Gabe presses the button it should go to the Insiders Program at the same time.

    You don't get it?

This thread has the link to official download site in its first post. In fact, the whole purpose of this thread is to tell that.

Although Major Geeks is usually quite trustworthy site, the content there is not "original" in the sense that it is not guaranteed it is the exactly the same ISO as MS offers on their download site. It most probably is but where should we set the limits? Next member posts a link to another third party site, the one thereafter to one more link or torrent, and so on.

Are you really saying it should be OK to anyone to post any possible download and torrent link here, however questionable, when the fact is that the first post of this thread already has the one and only address for the one and only official download site?

When the download is officially available from its original source there shouldn't be any reasons to use any third party sites, nor is there any reason to post links to those.

Why doesn't MS indicate that on their web site, would sure make things less confusing.
Maybe it's because MS knows that we have Shawn and John and between the two me get all necessary information.:)
