    #magilla; Installed over previous version which was installed over clean install of 10074
    I would suggest clean install, the ISO is available from download site on the forum. I had similar problems where icons were opening wrong apps. Clean install resolved problem

    Last time I checked, build 10500 belonged to th2 lab, which is to say Redstone and not Windows 10.0 RTM

    My letter looks like this one except excludes paragraph referring to office 2016. Perhaps because I am using office 2016 preview
    Hmmm, Magilla, that may be the reason, because I'm also using the O365 preview.

    John,

    Do you know if you remain an insider, do you get to keep using Office for free?

    @HippsieGypsie

    Check in the windows 10 start menu, there is a get office icon in start menu/screen do not know if that will work or if it is different didn't test it.
    I don't think so, Groze. If I'm not mistaken, you get a 180 day trial to Office 365 in order to test the preview; however, once the trial period is over you'll have to subscribe or Office 365 will no longer work.

    $69.00 per year for one computer or $99.00 per year for five computers and five tablets.

    I got that e-mail too and wonder why he is excited to announce the Office 2016 Preview. Did Microsoft fix the problems with Office 2016 Preview and Windows 10? I uninstalled the Office 2016 Preview and installed Office 2013.
    All you had to do, Al, was to go to Control Panel>Programs and Features>right click on Office 365>click on Repair and things should have been straightened out.

    I think I will stay with Office 2010 64 Bit.
    Unless you need a lot of bells and whistles, Office 2010 should be just fine for every day use.

    My first instinct with any program causing a problem is to uninstall. I will wait until after Windows 10 RTM is released before I give Office another try. Thanks for telling me about that Repair Option.

    Right now, both the Office 365 and Windows 10 Teams are working on fixing the problem.

    I've reinstalled three times so far because I never knew about the repair option either. And I've been using Office for years and years and years!
