Out of respect for the forum rules I cannot say what I really think about that comment. I just ask what is it in this News app I use on my Windows 10 computer several times a day which makes it "phone/tablet Tinkertoy" instead of "real program". Please explain that to me. I could continue the list but let's now first wait your answer about these three. You have some mighty phones and tablets if these full-fledged desktop apps run on them in the same way they do on a normal PC!

Because some of the apps are just good programs..and they are as real as any program that you might install on your PC., I use News/Games and NetFlix apps and they're great.. and far from "TInkertoy" software.

That I will agree with. There is a lot of dead wood and duplicate junk in the Store. How many fart apps does one need?
