Good catch...I just compared mine...same exact problem. I have a feeling that this is holding up my 10158 update detection.

Anyone got ideas on a fix??

Edit: I just saw a post above about the long delay in detecting the update. I'll just sit patient for awhile until the servers get some free time to send some bits my way.

I wonder if you can uninstall the updates, then have Windows reinstall them. My friend had the EXACT same issue with the "get Windows 10 update". He had some KB that were installed but kept insisting that the computer needed to be rebooted. Perhaps you could search on this site to see if there is a fix or start another post about how to fix updates not being properly installed.
EDIT or as the post above says, "Come sit and wait a while..."

I guess I'll do the same. Will it auto update if I keep WU open and go do something else?

John: I tried this. Twice. It installed updates but still showed a restart needed on some updates. In a very recent post I mentioned that even though they show as needing a restart, they have been installed per the control panel "recent updates" list.
Maybe this is being caused by a busy server. I don't know...I'm going to let things rest a little and check it out in a couple of hours.
    Thanks!

That's all good and dandy, but where did you get the ESD for 10158?
    Mine was in C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources.

    An excerpt from Kari's tutorial.

Notice please: the folder C:\RecoveryImage is the default location of Windows 10 TP install.esd file if you installed the upgrade. If you have moved the file in another location or you have downloaded the installation files but not upgraded yet or if the upgrade has failed, you'll might find the install.esd file in a hidden folder C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources.

If you spot any problems, make sure you hammer the feedback tool... this is probably the last chance to get things fixed.

Your guess is as good as mine. Hopefully it'll keep phoning home and get the bits when it can. Time to eat dinner and give the brain a rest.

Like another upgrader, 10158 removed speccy. In the notifications area, I received a Chinese?? email. Went to settings, account, and got a message saying "we could not sign you in" the parameter is incorrect. Not sure what parameter it is talking about. However, I am signed in.?? And lastly notification to scan drive for errors. Other than that, seems ok, will find out more tomorrow.
