I only have one major bug, my optical drive still does not work since I switched to Win 10 build 10310!
Didn't know it was that far along, just got 10159 today! Updated my Desktop then converted and burned the DVD for use on my Notebook.since I switched to Win 10 build 10310
@Wynona
That not I was talking about, of course that suppose to be the case. I hope Microsoft didn't ignore my feedback or a lot of people will be getting pro version for free or have to do a roll back. I will explain once again. I guess a lot of people here use windows pro so they wouldn't really know what happens with the home version. I did several test upgrades with my system. I use Macrium image to restore my system.
I have windows 7 service pack 1 OEM.
Method one
Windows update
It would of upgraded from windows 7 sp1 OEM home premium to windows home 10 build 10070
Method two
USB Stick
I upgrade from Windows 7 sp1 OEM home premium and it upgrade to windows 10 build 10130 pro preview. I used a usb stick to do the upgrade from the 10130 iso
Method three
USB Stick
This time before doing the upgrade, I deleted the pid.txt in the sources folder on the usb stick.
I upgrade from Windows 7 sp1 OEM home premium and it upgrade to windows 10 build 10130 Home preview and again I used a usb stick to do the upgrade from the 10130 iso
Back to problem with taskbar not hiding after Start button used first time, also had to reboot twice to get Start button to work at all. !!
Are you saying that if you try to install from a DVD it won't work? FYI, mine worked for installing from DVD.
Or, are you saying it won't work to play a video. FYI, mine didn't either in 10130, and now in 10159, Blue Ray still won't play, but a regular video DVD will play.
Edit: When I tested the DVD with the movie, I was informed that there's a new version of VLC, so I'll go get that and test again.
I see what you're saying, but I'm betting Microsoft has that covered too. Once you've downloaded the correct upgrade to your computer, most likely you won't be able to upgrade that to a higher version unless you have the proper key.
And I do believe we'll be getting keys; why else would a clean install of 10158 and/or 10159 require a key . . . just a thought.
