I then did a file clean and defrag, shut down the desktop, started it up again and re-installed Chrome.
In the meantime, I downloaded Malwarebytes. It just finished a scan, and found and quarantined 64 instances of RazorWeb-A. I've deleted them and Malwarebytes has instructed me to restart the desktop.
The joys of it:-)
Ok. so this ISO worked like a charm.
I have two computers on Windows 10. One is already on 10158 but the other computer is on 10130 and insists it is up to date. Any way to trigger the update? Both computers are online and on update fast track.
I have tried the usual GUI search and wuauclt /detectnow
I don't have the specs handy, but if you have Windows 7 Pro (not connected to a domain) or Ultimate, you will get the free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Same for Windows 8.1 Pro.
If you have Windows 8.1 Core or Windows 7 Home Premium, you'll get a free upgrade to Windows 10 Home (or whatever the comparable name is).
It is very possible that the Pro version of Windows 10 will have more bells and whistles than the Enterprise version, which is strictly for businesses; thus, the "bosses" don't want the employees playing around. At least, I know that was the case with Windows 7.
Upgraded 10130 to 10158 last night without incident. Everything came over smoothly, seems to be working just fine. The start menu is definitely a bit more well-behaved, as is the task bar - not as laggy as 10130. Still can't mark a folder "all read" in the new Mail App, but otherwise, it's good - all my accounts came across without a hitch.
I will be exercising the system heavily today as my 'daily driver', so we'll see what comes up...
I have also upgraded to 10158 from 10147 eight hours ago. Everything went smoothly and it works great in my system, so far. Of course, the "blurry text" problem on my system has not been resolved but I am not expecting this to get fixed any time soon, if ever.
In overall, I am very pleased from Windows 10.
I updated from 10130 and had an issue so I went back to 10130 and there is no update for 10158. I have just about had it with this. Did MS pull IT??
