    I thought the feedback app would be open to everyone not just to insiders. Another words windows 10 consumers will be able to post feedback just like insiders do.
    Yes, but how do you give feedback on features you haven't seen yet? Insiders on the fast ring are going to see proposed changes that you may never see in the full Windows 10. If enough negative feedback gets received on something they may can it before its officially released. Or positive feedback may fast track a feature to the rest of us.

    Hmm? I am not following, why would you want a feature that most insiders don't like?

    And I'm not following what your saying? Where did I say I wanted a feature that insiders don't like? Your putting words in my mouth now? All I said was insiders will see and can give feedback on features that people running the full release won't. The preview will get updates and upgrades before the full version. Insiders will see stuff first.

    Why not? they will each have a different product code and their own license. You'll see updates and new features on the preview long before they get released to the Final full version, so why not. You would also be able to give feedback as to yes or no, like or don't like. It could influence future planed changes.

    Alphanumeric,

    Lets try starting over,
    I will probably not answer going that question in bold correctly but remember I am one of those people that think outside of the box. Consumers won't be able to see that feature because insiders got it canned. If a feature gets to consumer, they can report a bug to Microsoft that might develop later or happen on their system.

    All,

    I got to thinking about this, I think the insider program should change a lot. I really think this is the wrong way to do it after the release of windows 10. I don't think they would have enough testers though if Microsoft went with my idea, shown below. Just because a tech doesn't like the feature, doesn't mean a consumer won't.

    Consumer or Businesses would be able to choose from two rings

    Fast Ring-less stable system, less privacy, new features added sooner. You would need Microsoft Account for that & you would be part of the insider program

    Slow Ring-more stable system. more privacy, new features won't be added sooner and you wouldn't need a Microsoft Account & you would not be part of the insider program

    I do not see why one cannot dual boot Windows 7 and the Windows Insider Builds. I also do not see why one that upgrades Windows 7 to Windows 10 can't stay in the Insiders Program and continue to test builds. If this is not possible then why upgrade??

    @Gary,

    The first question you can do that as long as you remain an insider. I have been doing that since build 10130 came out, I was actually triple booting till yesterday.

    Those that upgrade before the rtm can stay in the insider program, they will need to opt in.

    I just realized a problem Microsoft hasn't worked out.

    A lot of windows starter/windows home was upgraded to windows preview pro. So hows that work if you the leave the program after July 29, 2015. The current blog said you wouldn't have to reinstall if you upgraded from a windows 7 or 8.1 system, so has Microsoft figured a way to downgrade your system to a windows 10 home version?

    No, when you upgrade a Starter or Home in the Insider Preview, you get a copy of Windows 10 Core, not Pro. Lots of people have found this out the hard way already.
