I don't understand what you're reading into what I said (You seem to have a great knack for reading something that wasn't written), but what I said is exactly supported by what Gabe said.

I know you need a Microsoft account to continue receiving Windows 10 Insider builds. I was *EXPLICITLY* saying that.

My point is that if you don't use your Microsoft account, then you WILL NOT be getting Insider builds. You will be able to use the released, final version, even if you're in the Windows Insider program, but only if you do not use the same Microsoft account as you registered with the insider program with.

And thus, you can install two copies, one an insider, and one not.. just by using your MSA in one and no MSA in the other, or use a different MSA in the other.

So I really fail to understand how anything you've said is relevant.

I'm curious how this is going to work. I want my main Windows 10 to not be a Insider build but I want to sign in with my MSA. I'm planning on staying in the Insider program but with my laptop and I'll have to sign in with my MSA. How is MS going to know the difference? Will be able to choose in Windows update like we do now with the fast and slow ring?

You will have to create a different MSA for your non-insider build. Or, you can drop out of the Insider program in your main MSA and create a new one for you Insider program.

I'm not sure what you mean by alias. If you mean the ability to log into the same MSA account from multiple email addresses, then I don't know. My guess is no, since the Insider program is probably tied to the physical MSA account ID (which is a GUID internally). This is what allows you to change your email address and still use the same services that were tied to the MSA.

you can create as many msa's as you can create email addresses. so, unlimited. so for winuser, if he wants two windows 10 copies on his computer in dual boot, then he only needs to create another email address, and another msa. then he can run one of them out of the insider program, and one of them in it. and m$ will have no way of knowing the difference. but i would suggest you create the second msa before the final release date, just to make sure. already having the msa on record can only help.

What a load of self contradictory claptrap.

You first replied to my post 380 in which I suggested according to a Gabe statement, that it wouldn't be possible to dual boot W8.1 with W10 with a Microsoft Account.

You suggested a way around this was not to have an M$ Account or to have an Alias.

I posted a statement confirming that in future that this would not be possible as it was obligatory to have an M$ Account if one wished to remain on the insider builds.

Perhaps you would be so kind to point out where you were "EXPLICITLY" saying W10 insider builds will need to have an M$ Account in future.

You seem to have a knack making it up as you go along.

I'm clearly saying that to be an insider, you must use your MSA. How is this so difficult to understand?

It's simple. You use an MSA that is not registered with the Insider Program (or no MSA) with your Windows 8.1, and Windows Update will not try to upgrade you. You can dual boot to your Windows 10 Insider using your MSA that is registered with the insider program to sign in, and it will keep your Windows 10 insider up to date with Insider builds.

How can I be any clearer?

And again, nothing that you have quoted says you can't run Windows 7/8.1 in a dual boot with Windows 10, either insider or not (technically that is, legally they need to be different licenses).
