I read, in the last couple of days, that the fast ring has stopped, as it is close to a finished product and no bug hunting is required (Huh!. But, looking through blogs..etc... I cannot verify it.
Gabe states 1 or 2 more fast rings before EOM July. You will probably see one this week. :)

If you update from an earlier build, then do a clean install on the same machine, then it seems that Fast Ring settings will stick, but you must do an upgrade first. My clean install, the fast setting works fine. However, my laptop which has never had Windows 10 on it does not save the setting. Installing 10130, upgrading, then clean installing makes it work again.

I would never download preview builds from torrent sites you never know what other attached nasties your downloading with it
Torrent sites are just like any other file delivery system...there's nothing intrinsic to "torrent" that makes it less reliable... A few years ago I thought much as you do...since then I have broadened my horizons...Still, it pays to be cautious and very particular as to what you download...regardless of the source or delivery system you use...

    Hi there

The days when Torrents were huge sources of malware are long since passed - there's (unfortunately) a lot more profit to be made by unscrupulous people simply SCAMMING users with all sorts of stuff that seem genuine and involve a lot less work than infecting a torrent.

Besides consider things like ebooks (epub / mobi), audio (Flac, mp3, ogg etc), and Video (mp4, mkv, avi, etc). These can't really infect your computer - if the file is corrupt it won't play / or can't be read by say Calibre or your kindle / e-reader.

If you download .EXE / .RAR files then all bets are off as you can't be sure what's in the files.

In any case things like Windows ISO leaks will have people all over the net publishing valid HASH or other info so you can check the file is CLEAN.

Most type warnings about Virus infections are usually FALSE POSITIVES thrown up by "Key Gens", Activators or other ways of by-passing activation on protected software.

Now while I do download some movies / TV series -- these shows will NEVER come to my part of the world - even though I'd be happy to PAY for it --C'mon NETFLIX - get rid of the regional blocks, or some music which is no longer available such as some old classical recordings.

However I DO draw the line at downloading Paid for software with key by-passes etc.

The risk of infection though these days is almost ZERO if you are careful so Windows Leaks are usually quite safe.

Many of us here must remember the heady days of Win 7 testing -- leaks of new builds were appearing almost every week !!!!.

BTW I do salve my conscience a bit with Movies /TV / music downloads -- I donate a bit of money to Musicians and actors charities so I do pay (indirectly). It would be easier though if Regional blocks etc were stopped - and you could purchase what you wanted WHEREVER it was produced.

If you are a Torrent user - consider also paying to some charity of your choice related in some way to the product you are downloading -- most of us don't want to deprive legitimate copyright owners from earning a decent living -- it's the stupid Lawyers and politicians who restrict the Net in what should be a PLANETARY wide service without boundaries etc.

As for NETFLIX -- your solution - give the rest of the world the US service --what are you waiting for -- HUGE pent up for demand outside US -- I cancelled Europe subscription --was RUBBISH compared with USA.

    Cheers
