well, i am using realtek, and cortana is working perfectly for me. clean install. i am also on an asus laptop. so i am not sure what the problem is with those of you who are still having problems, but it isn't the build. i haven't had a single problem with cortana so far. however, this is the FIRST build that i can actually use it.

as for the problems i have noticed:
internet (wifi) drops for no reason, and is a little difficult to get it back.
setting fast ring is always reverted back to slow ring.
maxaudio doesn't work. which isn't an issue for me as i use the realtek hd audio manager on 5.1 anyway. maxsudio only works if you stay on stereo.
background's slideshow doesn't work at all. will not show any images in their folder, and won't use them.
finally, this build seems to take a lot longer to shut down than previous builds. i can normally do a full restart, from in system, to back in system in 17 seconds. this build takes more than 12 seconds just to shut down. ????

other than those couple of things, this leak is very good, and very snappy. i am bwildered by the fact that the windows team has been testing this build for more than five days now. usually a build is only tested by them for two or three days, and then released if it does well. so what do you guys think the hold up is?

Gabe Aul mentioned the problem on Twitter but, for the life of me, I can't recall what it was about.
My guess is that they want to release a very good build this time so as not to drive anyone away from upgrading to Windows 10 on July 29.

Is internet explorer totally gone in that leaked version or is still in the program files folder?

Internet explorer is not going away, at least not for several years. Although, there is now a nice option in Add/Remove Windows Features to remove IE 11

Question to the group. I installed the 10147 and loved it. Cannot wait until the end of July. In order to be ready for the next official build (hoping it will go out tomorrow) I rolled back to 10122 (I am using a Surface 3 which is not compatible with the 10130 build). I know that the 10147 would not update to the next build via update but now that I am back on an official released version, will it update without needing to do anything extra? Anyone have some experience with this scenario? Thanks.

I wouldn't take it as an absolute truth. Other leaked builds in the recent past were able to update, and you can always upgrade via a mounted ISO.

agreed! i don't see why this leak would be any different either. my advise is that i wouldn't give up any time with this build, because of that worry. i would keep this build and check out if it can update, and if it can't, just load a fresh install with the iso.
i now dual boot with two win 10 partitions. one partition is the full system that i always just upgrade with each new build, and the other partition is always a fresh install of the new build from the iso. that way i can evaluate if there is any real seat of the pants advantage to either one, by comparing the use of each partition.
i use to dual boot one partition of win 7, and one partition of win 10. but it was getting more and more difficult to keep win 7 going and with correct drivers, since my system is so new. plenty of win 8.1 drivers, but very few for win 7. also, can't use secure boot or fast boot with win 7. and there are big advantages with those abilities. so i finally gave up on win 7, and just set my system for win 10 abilities. works well now.
