    Last month, at Microsoft’s Surface Studio event, the company announced its Creators update and also showed off Windows Holographic. The Holographic platform, which will enable VR headsets to work natively with Windows 10, is coming in the near future along with modestly priced headsets.

    Next month, Microsoft will talk more about this experience and the headsets but the application that will power these devices is in the latest build of Windows 10. While we still don’t know a lot about the application and all of its features, we can see that the requirements include a PC with 4GB of RAM, USB 3.0, DirectX 12, a CPU with 4 cores, 1GB of free storage and 1.5m x 2m of open space (you also have the option to add tracking sensors) to move around .

    Based on the screenshot, even if your machine does not meet all the specs, you will still be able to experience some aspects of Windows Holographic...

    Interestingly the app tells me my system does not support USB 3 although I have fully functioning USB 3 ports and devices with none whatsoever issues with it.

    @Kari, how many do you have?
    Some need 2, some 3, and others need 4 ports.

    This laptop only has 3 USB ports, one USB 2 and two USB 3.

    What kind of rig will you need to handle that? For the Oculus Rift, there are two hard requirements: a system with at least two USB 3.0 ports,
    How to prepare your PC and room for VR | PC Gamer

    Try unplugging what ever is connected to it, and give the test another shot????
    Maybe it test free ports, and check Device Manager.

    I have a supposedly high octane MSI gaming laptop, have the same USB specs ie:- 2 USB 3 AND 1 USB 2...yet like yourself system does not support USB 3....yet everything else is all systems go.....strange!!!!

    Well this is a shocker!!!!!.....top of the range M$ product Surface Pro 4 result....cannot be right as USB 3 specified.
