are you referring to fact that when you open an app it is full screen in the 'restore down' mode? I have noticed I have to drag apps around and manually make them smaller to my liking so that they are really 'restored in down' position.

There are two boxes on full screen, hover over the smaller one it states restore down, click on it and it vanishes and apart from a quick screen flash it does absolutely nothing.
Click on the single box and the smaller box reappears.

Yes, it's like they open full screen no matter which box/boxes are displayed. I have dragged the opened program down and over to one side of the screen and manually resized them -- when I click on large single box, goes to full screen and clicking on two boxes takes me back to small window size.
EDIT: no, rearranging size does not stick - it goes right back to what you said in your post.

Waste of time, some of my apps are still not working (one i use constantly) no third party av support.
This version seems to be a carbon copy of 14965.
Not happy at all, thinking windows 7 is looking good at this stage.
