    After this I checked reliability history and it listed a hardware fail event, livekernelevent code ab. Anyone know what that's about? PC seems fine though

    Windows Update is downloading it, but is so slow that i am getting very annoyed. Are the files big or the servers slow? any legal link to manually download them?

    Could be a combination of both. I had downloaded the .cab file for manual install and it was just under 800MB.
