  • Fix an issue where executing a query with a sort when using the Access Database Engine, such as in the Access app or with an add-in that uses the Access Database Engine as a data provider, causes the app to crash.
  • Fix an issue where the Field Size drop-down for Number data types doesn’t display any values, which prevents the user from specifying the type of Number field when creating or modifying a table.

  • Update the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) so that it can detect and correct file corruption issues related to how .pst files are indexed and searched. This type of corruption can prevent .pst files from loading, cause Outlook to crash, or cause high CPU utilization.
  • Fix an issue where message classifications aren't always displayed on plain text messages.
  • Fix an issue where Outlook search returns duplicate results when Conversation Settings > Use Classic Indented View option is enabled.
  • Fix an issue with tab navigation of fields when creating a new message in the Spanish version of Outlook.
  • Fix an issue where images in HTML signatures appear as gray boxes when sending new messages or replying.

  • AD RMS rights policy template setting: Ensures that the setting for "Grant owner (author) full control right with no expiration" is honored when applied to new Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, especially if the setting is disabled. If setting is disabled, the user sees a warning that applying the template might restrict access to the document.
    Note: Existing documents already protected with a template that had this setting configured will not change. The owner will still have full control and no expiration on those documents.

  • Fix an issue with logging information for the Telemetry Dashboard that causes information to be overwritten in the log before it can be uploaded to the Telemetry Dashboard and also causes an increase in the size of the file to be uploaded.
  • Fix a caching issue that caused some Office 2013 licensing and program installation information to be deleted prior to a Microsoft-initiated upgrade from the Office 2013 version of an Office 365 client, such as Office 365 ProPlus, to the Office 2016 version.
  • Fix an issue in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint where setting the pen thickness for inking causes the app to crash.
  • Fix an issue where the Document Recovery task pane doesn't appear the next time you open the Office app after it has crashed, especially if you re-open the app right after it crashed.
  • Update OfficeC2RClient.exe to use "channel" instead of "branch" as a command-line option.
  • Add a Select button to the ribbon in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to allow users to switch whether a pen is used for ink annotations or for mouse emulation.
