    Try removing all AV programs (except Defender) before installing

    So far, 14942 (upgraded on top of 14393.223 via iso) is rock solid for me...no networking problems, device-driver problems, or browser problems (Firefox x64 DE.) From the things I've read on various sites it seems like folks would be well advised before installing this to completely uninstall any and all AV programs they have installed, save Defender. That's all I was running when I upgraded, and I didn't even have to turn off Defender. Even if people "turn off" these other AV programs there could easily be stuff relative to them that is still running somewhere, registry entries, etc., that could be keeping some elements of *this build* from installing properly--hence many problems after the install appears to complete successfully.

    Had no problem updating, via WU, with Panda running and MBam Free.
    only slow to load, from local account and taskbar icons.

    First post updated:

    ADDED 10/10: Due to a recent platform change, Microsoft Edge may crash after launch, or when you type in address bar or try to open a new tab. To get Microsoft Edge back working again, you can run the following via PowerShell (Note – this may clear your cookies and history as a result of the workaround):

    Code:
    Get-ChildItem 'HKCU:\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Children' | foreach {Remove-Item $_.pspath -Recurse}

    We’ve heard some reports that touch scrolling is too sensitive in Windows 10 apps, such as Microsoft Edge, and are investigating.

    Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14942

    This version is totally unresponsive that I had to Revert back to the previous version. MS on the phone was no help. Dell tryed to sell me a firewall subscription,lmao.

    I guess I will have to wait untill the next version comes out. It went well on my other computers.
