I got mine and reserved it...

I would bet that the people who reserve the copy first will get the download first and avoid the traffic when it does become available...

If you want to get rid of that thing, just type notification area in search and then set not to show. It works, I did it.
I find this rather annoying.

I note from here that it asks for an email address.

I wonder if a new product key will be emailed to people when W10 becomes available?

Hope the notification is specific to the device, not the MS id

Hi there

I have a "Multiple use" Windows 7 ultimate from TechNet. -- Does this mean if I install W7 on 3 computers (it will activate) I'll get FREE Updates on all 3 machines !!!

I'll go for that. -- I'm glad I kept a copy of the W7 ISO --I'll just restore W7 and then update !!!!.

If each machine gets the icon then I'd assume so. Keep an eye out!
