    I was offered KB3194496 today. The update download, installed to 30%, rebooted, went to 99%, failed, and restored to 14393.187. Multiple times.

    I tried a suggestion that I found online, to clear the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. (Don't delete the folder itself.) A few files could not be deleted.

    That worked. The update completed without a restart. (Strange.) Fingers crossed that there's nothing messed up with this.
    I too have been unable to perform the update, and I also get to about 99% before it fails and it reverses the update.

    I tried your fix but it didn't help. Poking around the web (and seeing some noise about it here) seems to suggest that this is not an isolated problem.

    I'll keep searching for a solution.

    Downloaded and installed in minutes. A-ok. No file integrity issues. C drive clean up yields back 1.74GB.

    See the stickies. It's the same update that was received in one of the Insider rings a couple of days ago.

    Hey guys, I got it on both mine to.
    This is the one that was for the Release Preview Ring a couple of days ago, now it's being released to the "Current Branch".
