Great! Now I know what to get my annoying friend for a gift. A dose of his own medicine.

Actually I wonder if they're "Features" or "Free-tures".

I just noticed that this is also happening when signed in normally with an MS Account. Anyone with a spare vm willing to test this scenario and tell how it went, I have used highly customized install image and it just might be possible that it is causing this. Would be good to know if it happens on a normal install using standard install media, too:

    Anyone willing to test this?

    • Sign in with your administrative Windows 10 user account (local or MS)
    • Create an additional user account with an MS Account
    • Sign in to that new user account once, sign out again
    • Sign back in with your original MS Account
    • Remove the newly added second Windows user account

Now check the Start Menu. Has everything disappeared from it, Start Menu left panel only showing your username and Spartan icon at top and Power & All Apps links at bottom, the right pane being completely empty?

Happens to me every time. Delete / remove an MS Account user from Windows 10 Build 10130, all other users lose evertyhing from Start.
    Hi Kari,

I've just tried this in a VM, and get the same sort of behaviour. Curiously the Sport app was left behind in the Start menu right panel. The Money app was there when I took the screenshot, but disappeared soon afterwards! The apps still seem to be there in All Apps, and seem to work when selected from there. A Restart brings a few more of them back, but the Start Menu area still looks fairly empty and I think is still missing several apps.

The VM was created as an experiment using the Windows 8.1 Media Creator, installing the 32-bit Core edition, then within 8.1 I ran the Setup from Build 10130 (ESD-to-ISO version), which means I've ended up with 10 Pro 32 bit.

I've not customised it at all apart from the above steps.

Windows is notorious for hiding things behind other things. Happens to me all the time. :)

If I were you, I'd wait until the next drop before doing a clean install. I think it's only days away from what I've recently read.
Good to know. I will wait then.

I'm surprised that this is still the newest build.
