Sure like to know how you guys get this stuff so quickly. I started the download of the upgrade 5 hours ago, it's currently at 49%. I have a slower connection but it's no that slow (4Mbps down).
Yeah, it is that slow! My Cable ISP had me messed up and I was getting anywhere from .89 to 1.4 Mbps, and it was painful. Once the tech came out and worked on it, I'm now getting around 14.5 Mbps, and it streaks!

He disconnected the coax cable, licked his finger and touched it to the little thin wire that sticks out. Reconnected and Voila! I had speed again! He said static electricity gets in and gums up the works. I hope he didn't do something else and wasn't pulling my leg, but he told me if it slows down again, to do that and my speed should get back up.

Seems like the feature levels dropped from 12 back to 11.1 in this build, even though DXdiag says DX version is DX12.

Didn't drop anything, drivers are those that have to work at API level with DirectX, always was like that. So once mfg make drivers to work with Dx12 and programs/games are mad to work at that level, we might get something out of that combination.

It looks like the second attempt will be successful, it's at 23% after a few minutes.

Nothing, not even data can arrive before it starts, you can have fastest internet connection but if you run into a slow or too busy FTP or mirror where it's coming from, it's going to be slow.

Yes, same one. My systems are all HP.

I may go back and change just to see if it works. I saw Allen's post, but had already seen yours and tried it. :)
Initially when I ran the HP Beats Audio it would crash, at least now it doesn't crash but it produces no sounds when testing within the app. All other sound issues seem to be ok after setting it to 16 bit. I also am on an HP box.

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10130 for PCs-start-1.jpg

If I switch all of the items in the "Customize List" to OFF my Start Menu quits working after logging out/ back in or after a restart.

When my Start Menu wasn't working I accessed settings using "Windows Explorer".

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10130 for PCs-start-2.jpg

If I switch the 2nd item from top back to the ON position the Start Menu will work normally after a couple of tries.

Just found another problem. I have no sleep option. Anyone else have this problem? I had more success with the leaked build than I'm having with the official release.

I have the sleep option here, and it works fine.

As with other things, they buried it. right click desktop, personalize-screen saver settings-change power settings-change plan settings and FINALLY you have options for sleep.

I noticed the same thing here as well with the 10125 build. I only had 2 options. Shutdown & Restart.

Thank you for that tip sir, however I still don't know what Microsoft is thinking. Why hide it so deep to make someone go through all those settings? It should be standard. That's just plain ridiculous. They want people to sit there and tweak all day? By removing sleep is making it seem more 'tablet' oriented, in which we are not using slow @$$ garbage tablets here, ugh.

My pet peeve is still the Windows 8.1 way of how to access safe mode. I miss the Win 7 and < versions of mashing F8 to get the menu. Anyone feel like tipping a friend off here to safe mode Windows 10? Out of curiosity ...
