Getting a BSOD when I run Malwarebytes. Page Fault in nonpaged Area.

    Offender is MBAMSwissArmy.sys.

    Anyone else get this?

Edit:- looks like the rootkit scan is the culprit. Turn that of and it runs.
Just had the same thanks for the solution [emoji4]

Unlike a certain someone whose name ends in Murray and is the head of a video game studio whose initials are HG....
Can't be very fast at games though as any Brit knows you should never hurry a Murray .

    Unexpected phone firmware update.

My Lumia 550 suddenly needed to restart to install a MicrosoftMDG update this morning. I think it updated my firmware as the OS build didn't change. Anybody know what this update was for and what it did? My phone is on the Fast Ring.

Finally decided to move all my apps on my Lumia 1520 to the System memory instead of the MicroSD,
since the solution to build 14926 not wanting to install on some devices, was to remove the MicroSD,
in order for it to install without any errors.
I left one app on the MicroSD (to see if the phone will accept it, once the update was done).

Well, what a big mistake that was.

-The app i left on the MicroSD does not work, and is permanently stuck as a "Pending" app.
-Keyboard does not work, so anything that involves typing is not possible to do anymore.
-SIM-card slot is not working (phone-calls, text messaging, 4G data etc. no longer works).
-USB-data connection does not work (transferring/backing up files to a computer will not be possible).
-Saved Wi-Fi passwords have been reset, requiring to re-enter them
(and since the keyboard don't work... i guess no Wi-Fi either).
-Phone keep restarting at random for no apparent reason several times a day.
-Looking through pictures/photos saved on the phone is very slow and sluggish.
-Battery indicator barely progresses when charging (left it charging for hours, and it seemed stuck at 45%)

Surely one could expect a small bug or two with Insider Preview Builds, but this?

I tried everything I could think of to get the latest Insider build to load and run on my a Lumia 640XL. I finally gave up and used the Device Recovery tool to restore my phone. I'm now on the Slow Ring until a fix is released.

I'd say you should be glad you didn't install this build, i really regret installing it myself.
Can't even backup my files, in order to do a restore with Device Recovery Tool.

I made sure I backed up first. I made a backup with the Windows app and a backup with a app I downloaded from the store. The last time I tried the build I had a heck of a time rolling back with the recovery app. My phone would freeze when trying to restart. I had to force a restart by holding the power button.

There might be some light at the end of the tunnel it seems for people who have gotten their phone *bricked* by this update.

It appears that the phone will actually accept Wi-Fi, but only if connecting to an unsecured network (no WPA/Password)
this will allow people to install the next Insider Preview Build whenever it comes out (which hopefully fixes everything).

    Looks like i was right.

By changing my router's Wi-Fi settings to not have any WPA Security/Password,
i was just now able to start the download and installation of the newly released build 14936.

Hope it will fix all the problems build 14926 brought.
