Posted that 5 minutes ago, clicked Check updates once more and it started downloading 14905. Fired up three virtual machines, all downloading 14905.

Again, what is definitely proved beyond reasonable doubt is that Dona reads this thread, noticed an Insider in distress and told Redmond geeks to speed up the delivery servers :)
Congratulations - enjoy all of them! And the fact that Dona reads the threads is GREAT NEWS!

I spoke too soon about the new build being good, when I clicked on the power symbol, the pc returned to desktop instead of offering the 3 options. As soon as I switched on today, there was a message asking whether the forced shutdown was intentional or accidental, so I sent the details to Microsoft. It looks like I will have to force shutdown when I have finished tonight.
How come I had the new build only a couple of hours after Brink's announcement in Blighty when we usually have to wait much longer?

You don't need to force shutdown, right click start button and use shutdown or sign out.

... or press ALT + F4 to show Shut Down Windows prompt, that's what I use:

As was mentioned in Dona's blogpost, you can shutdown the pc by clicking on Windows Key + X on your keyboard and then choosing the appropriate option in the shortcut menu. You don't have to revert to force shutdown the machine if you don't have to.

With each insider build we should really expect all kinds of bugs and that's the case with this one. The last few were a different case since they were leading up to a full public drop of the AU. I'm going to do what I did before and set up a dual boot configuration so I can have a stable build for daily use(AU) and one for the insider so I can see the new features.

    Best of both worlds.,..
Yeah, I know. Fortunately, I found the posts describing the dll that needed to be replaced. Once I did that, the rest of it worked pretty well. All's good.

I see what you mean, the right click certainly works, I just normally left click on the window, and then on the power symbol at the lower left. Now I see there are lots of options.

Just to add one more option, it works, too: Press WIN + L to lock Windows, or sign out, then shut down from lock screen.
