Didn't see the update until this morning. Got home and turned on my system and it is downloading. I'm not sure if I would have been caught in the delay but it is now at 55% and continuing.

    WEK

EDIT: install took about 25 minutes and all seems to be going well. No problems with unusable extra drives since all are online and active. So far, so good.

Just a S.W.A.G. That's why VMs are usually the last to get it.

My Hyper/V virtual machines usually get the upgrade minutes after Dona has tweeted about them. It's my physical machines which occasionally have delays, like now with 14901. Both physical machines in Insider Fast ring got upgrade 24 hours after released, all Hyper-V virtual machines immediately.
I'm usually one of the first members here in the forums, to get the updates, on my Insider VM.
This is the second time I had to wait at least a whole day though.

You may be able to use the Recovery Environment to roll back to the previous build. Provided you still have the Windows.old directory here is how. Go to Power in Start menu. (If you use Classic Shell use Shift + Windows key to bring up the Start menu) Click on Power. While holding down Shift key click Restart. This should restart your computer in the Recovery Environment. Choose Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Roll back to previous build. That should do it.
Yes I've tried that but ran into a problem yet again. I rebbot like you said and selected Roll back to previous build, the screen comes up asking you to select an account. At rthis point however my USB ports decide to power down so the mouse and keyboard aren't working so it's impossible to proceed any further
