That what it seems like.. if your an insider you get to go from the TP to the RTM directly. I suspect there might be a cut off date on joining the insider program in the future but I might be incorrect on this.
If this really means what we think it means, I just made a very timely purchase! I can keep my 8.1 Pro on the new box and do a clean install dual-boot 10074 (or whatever), take it to 10RTM and have both worlds! Could even Triple-boot 7 if I was whacky enough to try!! Is This TRUE?

I am very low grade at searching in Twitter. Could someone point me to the actual post where he said/confirmed this? Darned if I can find it!

Based on what we know now I would think yes.. you/anyone can do this. Being able to go from the TP to the RTM is just great news for many, including me. I can run Win10TP as my primary until the RTM and switch over at that time.

I think that you should be able to upgrade from the TP to the RTM regardless of the other OS's on your PC.. but I'm guessing at this point.
Well, previously it was stated that there would be a free upgrade to W10 to anyone for the life of the machine which sounds like replacement of your current OS. I must keep W7 and even have some apps that only run on XP!

The free upgrade was for one year after the RTM not for the lifetime of the device. That was for upgrades after the upgrade to Win10. With this you don't have to replace Win7 to get a free copy of Win10. You can go directly from Win10TP to the RTM and keep Win7.

There are others than insider builds on Windows Update, at least there were. Does this mean that once you are a member all Builds from WU will be Insider Builds?

There was "something" about the lifetime of the device in that statement though. I haven't been following that much since I'm unable to "upgrade" past build 9926. Does one get a key the W10 RTM??
