I feel a little beat up after that last post. But I appreciate the effort you put in to your detailed reply.

But I do stand corrected on my incorrect price comparison (it is not $99/yr) as pointed out, its $69/yr. However, I still feel that buying Office 2013 is the correct decision for me. I don't need more than one copy of Office, I don't use Skype, I don't have a Tablet, and I don't care about the on-line storage. Lastly I have Office 2010 on one computer now which has all of the programs (however I really don't use PP, Publisher or Access).

Also, I was not claiming that an Internet connection was needed to run either program nor was I stating that either program would not be fully installed. I was only trying to clarify/understand the "Click and Run" comment made (as I though perhaps the person responding was thinking Office 2013 was not a fully installed program).

My only motive to post as I did was and is to make it really clear what Office 365 is :)

Microsoft Office Click-to-Run is the program used for ESD, electronic software delivery / distribution when you buy Office as an online installer, at the moment Office 2013 as Office 365 subscription, or Office 2013 Home & Business from Microsoft online store.

When the software is bough from MS online store, Office needs the Click-to-Run process to be running:

Windows 10 will include Office for Windows apps for free. They're also free for Android and iOS now.
I know, Simrick. I was on the 'droid preview. :) I've also tried out Office for Windows 10, but since I have a couple of subscriptions, I haven't downloaded it lately.

Ha! You are on EVERY preview known to man! So, I have the Office for Windows installed, but since they're "apps" and none of my apps will work on 10130, I can't try them! LOL [downloading 10158 now...]

Hehehehe, I've been testing Microsoft product since somewhere between 1985 and 1990, so . . . I was going to give a smart answer here, but I guess I'll just say, yes, I'm very lucky to be invited to beta test.

I checked just before I left the house around 5:00 PM to get some eggs from my friend; I raised the baby chicks up to 12 weeks and then turned them over to her. They've just started laying!!! BTW, I got two mint green pullet eggs. She didn't know Americaunas lay colored eggs and says they're not edible! Ha!

Anyhoo, Defender was the only thing to be had when we left. So, we come home and watch TV until awhile ago, and now I'm playing catchup on Build 10158! It's 19% downloaded!

Looky what I found in Microsoft's blogs! If I remember correctly, someone has asked about this here.

An early look at Cortana integration with Office 365

Office 365 is about helping you be more productive so you can make the most of every moment. We believe the future of productivity involves technology that is truly personal and can work on your behalf. This belief is a driving force behind Microsoft’s personal digital assistant Cortana, which is coming to PCs and tablets, with Windows 10. Cortana learns your preferences to provide relevant recommendations, fast access to information, and important notifications. Cortana in Windows 10 can help you at home, at work and on the go.

    From http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwin...0158-for-pcs/:

Cortana integration with Office 365: With this build, you’ll be able to try out the Cortana integration with Office 365 if your company is opted into First Release for Office 365. Cortana is already great at letting you quickly see what your day is going to look like, when and where to go for your first meeting, get a sense of travel times to work, or even get updates for upcoming trips from your calendar. Cortana gets even better with a connection to Office 365, which enhances Cortana’s ability to help you prepare for meetings, learn about the people you work with, and remind you where you need to be next so you won’t be late. Give it a try!

Love fresh eggs, any color - even from ducks! I won't buy them at the store anymore.

I have been messing around with this Blender program all weekend in-between other things. But this is priority now, so Blender will have to wait.

The only other Beta testing I've ever done was Halo: Reach for Xbox...

With the MS 10158 build, Office 2016 went from "you have 126 days of trial" to "This copy wil expire on Wednesday July 29th". Time to go back to office 2015.

EDIT: That was easy. I installed Office 2015 Pro, then uninstalled Office 2016. Outlook did not have to be setup at all as the .pst file was the same so it came right up and running. Nice to have that happen.

No, John. Just uninstall and reinstall (or, you may be able to just reinstall over what's left) and you should get your 126 days back. This is some kind of bug in the Public Preview of Office 365.

Build 10158 took my subscription Office 365 totally out to the point it wasn't even useable, but when I told it to reinstall, everything went back to normal.
