Mine finished downloading in about 5 minutes. 25 percent done installing now. Prikker, try a restart, then see if it will fetch the update?

Any idea how big the Update is?
About 3.38gb is what it comes to on Disk. You can verify that by the latest MC Tool download saved as ISO from the Get 10 page under the Get Now Windows Upgrade Advisor button which simply shows the14385 as well as 14393 builds as the latest since they are version 1607 not 1511 being seen now. The general release has the 14393 tag.

Thanks for the reply, when I tried again the Upgrade Assistant app went into an endless loop with the message about finding the latest version. Had to restart the PC to stop it.
The first button is just the upgrade advisor and not a download tool. That simply indicates what you are running and elible for while the MC Tool features the download and save as iso option when skipping the instanly online and create media options.

The WU will be getting randomly as figured. With everybody trying to get it at once MS has taken some obviously randomizing steps to prevent server meltdowns from being overloaded due to the hundreds of millions of machines now running 10! Can't do them all in just one day's time without a meltdown of some type!

I got it on both of my 10 Pro desktops, but not on my 10 Home laptop yet. When I check WU on that, it says no updates are available.

The MCTool has now been updated for the version 1607 14393 download where you can even mount the iso with the free Virtual Clonedrive app and not have to wait to see the same arrive by the WU. I verified the RS1 update by using the update to set up a totally new VM seeing a clean install take place and then took a good look at the Start>Settings>System>About section where it shows 14393 as the general release I had already suspected to be the Anniversary build as well as the last Insider build number

How to get the Windows 10 Anniversary Update-1st-anniversary-build-confirmed.jpg

For the Insiders MS tossed in a pair of zip files for some GIF files as well as a new wallpaper with a Ninja Cat used on the second test build where the VM as well as host both see 14393 Insider on host and Anniversary update on VM.

Forgot to add the link for the actual page you will need to arrive at. Oops! https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

There you can try the immediate Update now button but end up seeing the Upgrade Advisor tool while going down to the second Download tool now button provides the updated MCTool where you have the same options for immediate online upgrade, creating usb media, or simply saving the "windows.iso" file for the 14393 version 1607 to a drive on your system.

For mounting the iso image downloaded for a manual upgrade which will still work in the same fashion as has all other previous Insider builds you would save to a separate partition or drive and then mount the image file with the free Virtual Clonedrive app and simply double click to start the setup.exe when browsing the virtual optical drive to that file. The upgrade for update install will run just like any other upgrade. RedFox Virtual CloneDrive | CD Backup

For those who planned a clean install this is the time for the usb media.

Went to the Win10 update site and selected " download anniversary upgrade" and all went well. This update uninstalled CCleaner claiming it's not compatible with this version 1607. Glad all went smooth for me :)
ESET Smart Security Ver, 9 is compatible with 1607. Running smooth also!

    cheers

Really? It didn't complain about ccleaner or remove mine. Then again, I updated the old fashioned way... made it search for updates.:)

@vgchat, now that's weird then lol. I guess my install picked up something about ccleaner that it didn't like. I will wait and see if others had it uninstalled also before i look into installing it again.

    cheers
