Just got a CCC has stopped working pop up. A few more of those and I'll be going back to 8.1. I'll try the latest driver from AMD first though. This was a clean install.

Was it the amdmantle32.dll? If so the fix is to simply change .dll to .old if you don't need mantle. To find out if you need it go here.
On the last version of CCC before the OMEGA drivers a lot of people were having problems with it and that was the fix.

Too late, crash and burn. I installed the omega drivers and now I have just a blank monitor after log in. I'm done with 10 for now. I'll be reinstalling 8.1 in a bit.

I've gotten a whole bunch of those, Alpha. Since everything's working pretty much OK, I'll wait to see if the next build will solve it.

Good plan, I should have done that myself. Installing the AMD driver I downloaded from AMD hosed my system. I just reinstalled 8.1 on my laptop. Posting from it now.

That's unfortunate. AMD has really good hardware, but I do see across the net, many systems have issues with their drivers, their update are hit & miss(like Windows updates lately).
I know if I ever upgrade, on my desktop, it'll be to a GeForce 7XX or 9XX (probably have to upgrade CPU then too)

I'm running NVidia on my desktop PC's. My laptop has dual graphics, both AMD. It has an APU and a dedicated GPU, AMD Radeon® HD 7660G + 7670M. I need the CCC for the dual graphics to work. I likely could have just ignored the errors and kept using 10 but I'm past that point now. I think its when its trying to switch GPU's that I get the error. Opening Media player did it for me yesterday. I've had this issue on my laptop with every build of Windows 10. I also get a "incorrect driver for this version of Windows" (something like that) popup message when I connect my USB 3 monitor to the laptop. I don't like the Windows 10 Start Menu/Screen so it was an easy decision to go back to 8.1. I'll upgrade when the final comes out for another look see. I installed 8.1 Core this time around using the OEM embedded key, instead of 8.1 Pro with my MSDN key. That way I can do an honest test of the free upgrade process. I have a spare desktop with a Windows 7 OEM install to test too.

I solve many problems by uninstalling CCC which is not needed unless there are special settings used that are only in that specific software. The OS should have superior features for most settings. So I would only install the driver and not the bloatware.
