Isn't it this setting for internal sata drives (that was what op seems to be referring to)?

It's different for Laptops and desktop computer.

It's probably a SATA Controller driver issue, I experience it all the time.

One of the drives that keeps disappearing is an M.2 PCIe x 2 SSD.

The SATA ones disappear as well.

I've changed the power settings as suggested and will report back.

Any news from the cat lady?

I live in UK in a city - hardly the boondocks!

PS - I have created my own from fast ring install.esd. I wanted to know so I can tell others.

I have 14393 sitting on a slow ring rig, waiting for me to reboot and install. Been there for 2 days now.
