Go to power options and set hard drive to never turn off.

Not really sure. I took it to the computer shop and he called and said it's working now. Said he didn't do anything to it. Brought it home and works just fine.

I swear I did turn the silly thing back on because I saw its little blue light go solid. It's an Acer LED, a few years old. Tech said he even left it on quite awhile to be sure it wasn't overheating.

The only thing I can think of (and I asked and he agreed it might be) is that I may have pressed one of the buttons on the bottom of the screen and it happened to turn off the DVI. I did have to turn DVI on the other monitor when I connected it, so I guess there's a DVI button . . . Dunno.

The problem is, though, that I know I never touched even one button on the bottom when things first went South. The monitor is at least arm's length away from me and the "box" is sitting in a cubby underneath my desk when everything's set up properly.

Same thing. lights flashing. Only after shut down, lights flash and press power button does lights go off.
I just ran into this one in a beta forum I'm in and thought it might be an answer.

<<Name withheld, are you using Parallels? You need to update Parallels, then Windows 10 will stop constantly rebooting. Once Windows 10 stops rebooting, you'll be able to install your software.>>

I don't have a clue what this is about and it may be way, way off the mark because the guy the statement was pointed to stated he's a Microsoft man completely.

    Anyway, for what it's worth . . .

Actually, with an indoor/outdoor cat (no litterboxes!) with a doggy door, I have to be sure to fog the house every three months or so, and he gets the stuff between his shoulderblades every month, so spiders are rather nonexistent in this abode. :) The yard gets a treatment also every few months.
