Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14383 for PC and Mobile Insider

This two replies rules out such dependencies, but worth a try. I have no problems with Edge (other, that I still prefer FF).
I do too...I keep trying to make Edge my default browser, but there are so many things that FF does that I am used to, that Edge does not, so after an hour or so, I always go back to cyberfox..

I kept Edge default browser for more then a day. My complaints are (not that I'm whining or so - I like it mostly):
- doesn't remember size and position. I you extend it from bottom to top, but leave an area left and right, then it will start in full screen.
- doesn't support WOT and electronic frontier (Privacy badger) extension (I know, this isn't Edge's problem - but I'm used to them)
- some pages aren't displayed right (rare and I could live with it if I had to)
I will try every new build of it.. :)

i cant stand how you cant easily email a link from it, you cant highlight a word or group of words and right click and search google from it, and a few other things that are missing from it that I use all the time..

Right click on any of your above requests gives all options, but uses Bing or Cortana.

Agree, I can live with that. Although, I don't understand, why MS decided for two click option instead of one. First opens Cortana and another click for Bing...

I get "Ask Cortana", no Bing, and nothing to do with "email a link"...

Ask Cortana will get you to Bing. One unnecessary step IMHO.
Admit, never used email a link in my life, so can't comment that (you can copy link...)

Thanks, I do not like Bing as my search engine at all, so thats no help for me..plus, I email links of webpages alot almost daily, so not having that for me is a non starter..
But, I admit, Edge is a 1000 times better than it was a few months ago..

Dencal, I just tried that. Yes it goes thru Cortana and gives a kinda answer via Bing. Not anything even close to a real "Google" type search. And Edge is still not a happy camper. While it was doing all this, it was crashing and restarting about 20 times. I'm doing this on latest Insider (14383) with latest Edge. Not addressing this to you, just using your example.

agreed! There are extensions I need that are not yet available. Also, it closes some of the time and sometime it will not close. The sizing is also an issue--it does not remember the size you used last. On the + side it seems faster than FF or I.E.
