need to know guys,
is there a possibility not to need to hit the Windows logo in the left corner to get the start, but to have it always.

Any and all security people will tell you never to run two av's at the same time. Now until Windows 10, Defender was not really an AV. In windows 7 and prior it would have been OK to run AIS and Defender just as it would be to rum MBAM. I run MBAM about once a month just to do a thorough scan. From what I have been reading most Windows 10 users are running Defender along with MBAM which is perfectly fine. My Brother in Law ran -0- AV for 5 years and never got a virus. I sorta talked him into it and he did a thorough scan and was clean. I suppose it all depends upon what sites you go to or at least it used to. I have use Avast(AIS) for many years without issue. Their firewall is great.
Hmphf! Guess I got it wrong. Gonna have to reinstall the brain cells.

My first impressions are very positive. No issues whatsoever. Only problem is my exhausted, extremely undersized brain: I need by default the Metric system, I need Cortana telling the temperature in civilized Celsius grades . I first used wrong ISO, the US English one to customize and create my install image and only noticed it after a few hours work when 10061 was already installed on two machines.
Had to start from scratch, creating a new customized install image using the UK English ISO. Now my clock is by default a 24 hour one, Cortana tells the temps in Celsius and everything is fine :).

Gary, just a small detail you got wrong: The Defender became a full AV program in Windows 8, not first in Windows 10.
I never used 8 so I had no way to know that.

Understandable. Just that you know, my post was only to clarify this, it was in no way meant to undermine your factual and good post :).

Oh I know that Kari, you probably don't know but I learned many things from you in The Windows 7 Forum. I kind of wish I would have went with 8 now. I would know more basic stuff about Windows 10 then. Thanks for all of your help

I understand. That's why I'm looking to boot to it. My Laptop runs Windows 8.0 and it is UEFI. It should boot W10 but for the life of me I can't get it to boot W7 VHD. Only VMWare VMs. And they are just too slow to do more than window shop. You can't really use it as your main OS.
Unless you have one of those super expensive gaming laptops, laptops are too gutless to run VMs very well.
I have no complaints about the speed of my VMs on my Desktop PC (VMware Player, LM17.1 Host).

I run virtual machines on Hyper-V on three totally normal HP laptops, two HP Envy 17 and one Hp ProBook 4530. Absolutely none whatsoever issues. RAM is the most important factor, I have 16 GB on the other Envy and 8 GB on the other, and 8 GB on the ProBook.
Another factor is to use your virtual machines using Remote Desktop Connection instead of Hyper-V's own Virtual Machine Connection, sharing all host (remote client) resources for guest (remote host). I use all my Windows and Linux virtual machines mostly with RDC.

I have a bad bug i've reported in the last couple builds where after locking the pc, it won't sense input from my usb mouse or bluetooth keyboard. I have to reboot. It was a couple times after installing 10049 and 10056. 10061 has been every time after I lock and go to sleep or lock and go to work. I have the power settings set to never sleep too. Using picture password. Picture password still isn't rendering right after the reboot either.
