    No dice here! Rich
Mine looks the same. When I click on it all I get is a flash, nothing else.

Edit: one thing I did notice is, I have not received the nag message to re-enter my credentials all the time.

This is really annoying, is there any better way to save the link to the Start menu without having to put it on the taskbar? Classic Shell is not a solution for me.

Here are some known issues for this build

    • We know this one will be a bit painful but there is a bug with this build in which Win32 (desktop) apps won’t launch from the Start menu. The workaround is to use search to find and launch these apps and pin them to your taskbar for quick access.

You could try installing the Quick Launch Bar. You'll find instructions in Eight Forums here: Quick Launch - Add to Taskbar in Windows 8

Microsoft hid it from us in Windows Vista (I think), but it's been there for me with every new Windows so far, including Windows 10.

One practical way is to use the QuickLaunch toolbar. Copy the shortcuts you need most often to %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch folder, then right click tasbar and select Toolbars > New Toolbar add the Quick Launch.

Now you have all shortcuts to your most often used desktop apps in the Quick Launch toolbar.
Yeppers. I do it a little differently, but the result's the same. I didn't see your post, so I gave him the "how to" link from Eight Forums. I'm just not that great at writing tutorials.

    "For Developers"

    That's new, isn't it?

    Attachment 17502

Window just CTD when I click on it though.
Yes, that would be new. I'll leave it there for the developers, although there are none who use this computer. :)

I think it's a WIP. The design is terrible. Some elements are overlapping.

Hmm, just noticed instead of my profile folder being C:\users\FirstName, it is C:\Users\FirstFourLettersOfMicrosoftEmailAddress. Weird.
That's been there for the last two or three builds, Bob. I hate that it truncated my name like that!

I am still using 041, but I would imagine this will still work:

Log in initially with a local account and the name you want to ss in the explorer.
Then, when the OS has settled on the desktop, go into Settings and accounts and connect your local account to your Live Account. The situation is then resolved.
