I think my very next two things to do are to:

1. Stop Sync on all computers.
2. Use Macrium Reflect Free to back my system up.
3. Check again to be sure System Restore is on. Although it didn't work when I had the major crash.

Relatively minor stuff such as not being able to use T-Clock anymore (DS Clock works and it's about as good) and having to reset font sizes in Control Panel > Display with each new build probably won't get corrected. Nor is having to create a new shortcut for calc.exe each time likely to. But these and a few other niggling chores will only have to be done only once with the Anniversary Update, so not a big deal.

For the most part, Larc, I've been lucky too. But when you get hit, sometimes it's more than Windows can do to recover.

Sometimes a clean install is the only way to overcome even the smallest of bugs. You might be surprised at what a clean install would do for your system.

I can see that for the Retail version, but not for the Insider Program. I dual boot my computer, and have Insider on one partition and the Retail version on another. When it comes time, I'll upgrade the Retail partition; however, if things aren't exactly right, I won't hesitate to do a clean install. I'm just not gonna put up with even minor niggles.

Of course, I keep a really good record of my paid programs' product keys. As well, I register everything as soon as I get it; that way, I have a record of things.

On the other side, syncing is great feature! I really like to have same settings on different devices.

Agree on the Macrium thing, System restore isn't a mayor player with such quick builds changing.

Regarding clean install, I'm convincing myself to take that road since 4 or 5 builds back. This is the time I've gotten some strange markers around 1st possible menu choice in different system apps, but I'm just too lazy, I guess.

Edit: not connected to this post, but hate posting two times in a row...

PC go to sleep during making ISO out of ESD. This has never happened to me before.
And didn't continue after waking from sleep. Then, I resized the window and ESD2ISO continued.

Anybody else find this strange?
