This is the actual idea behind being an insider, actually.
To test on as many different hardware and software - driver combinations as possible, to make sure Windows 10 upgrades run well for everyone.
Nope, MS has an internal team of specialists for serious Bugfixing/hunting, but not the usual "update screenshot poster".
Insider previews should be for testing new features, apps, serious changes (lets say in the GUI, etc.) and receive feedback about them.
But just releasing one build after another every few days, without any noticeable changes is just annoying and doesn't help anybody...
We fixed an issue where no note would have keyboard focus after minimizing then reopening the Sticky Notes app.
And three more "extremely important" fixes...
How many people will ever notice that, apart from the fact, that these few issues could be probably fixed with a 50MB patch.
Why release a new build for these trifles?
    However, each as he likes.
    Happy bugfixing...

I agree. It's about fixing bugs now and not testing out new features.
    Decided who?

The new stuff will not come down till after the anniversary update.
well, so it's time for a "timeout", me thinking

What a palaver....I have a desktop with a hot swap two SSD O/S....one being the standard release 1511 and the other insider.
    Connection being Ethernet.
As I wanted to do some financial business I started 1511 and all was completed successfully.
I then hot swapped to the insider version....could not get an internet connection no matter what solutions tried.
Checked three other computers in the house....all checked using Ethernet, working ok.
Fortunately had done a system restore so was able finally to start up again.
Now the strange thing is the reason for the connection loss....corrupt recycle bin on "E".
The only thing on "E" is M$ backup....see attachments.

Right now MS has to focus on getting all of the bugs out of the new build that will go out to the general public and in that process the fixes have to be tested out by as many users as possible. If they don't do it this way there is no way to make sure that all of the fixes really work out in the wild. MS has a big QA staff but they can't test the code changes on as many platforms as they could by shipping them out to the insiders.

While testing out bug fixes isn't glamorous it's necessary. Oh and it's a timeout for new things for about a month or so I would guess.

Odd. It's still showing as Cortana for me.
Showing as Cortana for me too. But , I have a new item in the S column! Sway! Looks like it has to do with Office. I see that it has been around for awhile, just never noticed it before.

Preparing to install updates 23% on Lappy. She was turned off until I woke up in the middle of the night and thought of it. That's one slow laptop for being so new. I don't understand why they only put 5400 rpm in 'em.

    Just one word: Boring!
    It's wasted time...just unpaid "Bugfixing/hunting"
Will now skip any further updates until MS releases something really interesting to test.
For example: A possibility to change the "system-font", icons, colors for "Modern Apps", settings, start menu, etc.
Or, enabling custom dark themes for non "Modern Apps" (not the crappy "high contrast" ones), to avoid eye strain.
You may consider running each new build a waste of time, boring and unpaid, but I don't. We're coming down to the wire for the Anniversary Edition, and I can proudly say I had a small part in getting it this far. I want to see each and every little thing I've helped to make possible. Oh . . . the unpaid part . . . quite frankly, although I don't get any of that "legal tender" for my participation, my payment is that I get in on the ground floor and get to participate in creating something new.

While Microsoft's techs are working to get the Anniversary Edition whipped into shape for release, there are other unseen techs working on the next edition behind the scenes. What they're working on will be dropped onto our desktops, laptops and tablets after the Anniversary Edition has been released to all those out there who don't have the privilege of being Insiders and watching Windows 10 evolve into what we see today.

Yeah, you may call it boring and uninteresting, but it's oh, so much more . . . and I had one small part in it! It just can't get better than that!

    Afternoon everyone,
My Wife's PC updated to 14372 early this morning, since then she's been unable to access the internet, the troubleshooter cannot find a problem.

Has anyone else had this problem?

    She's using a TP-LINK TL-WN822N wireless adapter.

    Thanks in advance.

    Very Best Wishes,
    Bob.
