Windows 10 has its faults but it's pretty sleek and works well. I just hate how you have to upgrade just to defer patches and updates.

Also updating Windows 7 each month has become much slower and more of a headache than it used to be. On patch Tuesday I get my two main computers done, my wife's laptop, and will come back to the 7 computer... which is usually still "checking for updates."

I have been using Windows 10 for so long that the last time I used my laptop that still has Windows 7 I was completely lost. I felt like a computer newbie.

Unless your in a corporate environment with access to Windows Update for business, all you can do is Defer upgrades. And correct me if I'm wrong? But isn't that also available in the Home Edition? I'm running Pro and I can't defer updates.

    Defer upgrades in Windows 10

    • Some Windows 10 editions let you defer upgrades to your PC. When you defer upgrades, new Windows features won’t be downloaded or installed for several months. Deferring upgrades doesn’t affect security updates. Note that deferring upgrades will prevent you from getting the latest Windows features as soon as they’re available.

Based on that logic, W7 trumps all in the desktop/laptop segment (~1 billion users).
Windows 10 in my option is better than 7,8,8.1
    Vista don't even go there.
XP was good in its day
But at least with windows 10 they are putting a lot of time, money and effect into building a great OS

Up until now, its pretty well been, this is it live with it. Once a Windows OS was released, not much changed. With Windows 10 things do get changed. As with everything though, some like the changes and some don't. For a lot of people, Windows 7 is a great OS. For some people, like me, Windows 7 was a great OS.

I think people are not aware of what W10 is. W10 is a move from MS to push everybody on dependency of the "Store" like Google Play and Apple. I am affraid that this will mean that W32 app will be left out of support in near future.
