Yeah but I plan on doing a clean install, so I really want the ISO and not the update file.

    You could do this:

When the update comes if first, do not actually install it, but extract the install.esd file and convert it to an iso using

ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File - Windows 10 Forums

Just curious, don't most of us have an ISO from the ESD anyway???
Those of us that were on the Fast Ring yes. As far as I can tell (and I am 99.99% certain) it's the exact same thing as the official release.

Hey all, how will I know that the Media Creation tool will download the very latest ISO? I would hate to run the download to a USB stick only to find it is not Anniversary Update.

    Hover cursor over mediacreationtool.exe.

It tells you which version it is linked to in info popup.

If not 14393, you need to keep downloading it until does say 14393.

    MCT is ISO version specific.
This has been said a few times in this thread already but here goes:

Download the tool and hover the mouse cursor over it . The ISO version win appear.
If that doesn't work right click the exe and select properties, details.

FAIK the MCT tool is not yet updated to the Anniversary version yet.

    Cheers,

My MediaCreationTool.exe says 14393.0 when I hover over it, but that's not the ISO I got? I got 14367.0 according to the setup.exe in the ISO. As shown in the screen shoot I posted? Windows 10 Anniversary Update Available August 2 Unless it actually installs a newer build?
