I'm only guessing, but what Cereberus might be referring to is the potential risk vs a few hours gain. Your ISP really has no control over MS servers. But, sometimes it seems that way.
But then the ISPs and others running Servers on the Internet do have some control on the amount of bandwidth available at any given time and as to how many users can be connected. The best example occurred back in Dial-Up days when school was let out for the day and suddenly downloads and even page loading became quite slow.

Any iso from a non official iso carries a virus/malware risk either in downloading or in the iso itself. Is it a risk worth taking within 24-48 hours of official release?

IMHO, no, not worth it. Especially if said ISO is going to be available right from Microsoft.

    Hi,

I want to ask If I have to upgrade first to the Anniversary update in order to activate my PC or if I can right clean install using ISO from MCT?

    Thanks, werty

SO wait I need to do a new install today for windows 10 on a home machine. Is there a way to get the Full iso with the new bits on it or do I need to do windows 10 standard than wait for update tomorrow? I have HeiDOC file but I dont see newest version anywhere?
I'm pretty sure an ISO will be available tomorrow; I have half a hard drive partition waiting for it. :) We probably won't get a link to the ISO until tomorrow, but it could come as the media creation tool too.

That's very true, Berton....but has nothing at all to do with MS servers and/or MS download files, specfically. It is a blanket policy of the ISP, applying to whatever they want it to.

Provided the Win 10 machine you plan to do a clean install on is already activated you can do a clean install using the latest edition and it will activate.

    Hi,

That's the version (14393.0) that was downloaded as the Insider Release Preview esd file, which I saved before it was installed & then created an iso for another machine. When it did the install for the downloaded machine, it updated the final install.esd to 14393.5.

We'll know what the final version is when the iso download is available.

Not sure what this means. Are you saying the screenshots from Cereberus are actually taken from your machine ?
    See post # 457
